Region II ISBDC sets three July workshops
The Region II Idaho Small Business Development Center at Lewis-Clark State College is offering three training workshops during July, including two workshops on QuickBooks.
“How to Start a Business Boot Camp” will be held on July 14 at 6-9 p.m. in Room 12 of the LCSC Administration Building. Participants will learn business feasibility, self-employment assessment, initial market research, start-up expenses, financial feasibility, choosing a business structure, obtaining financing, determining regulations, setting prices, creating marketing materials, and developing a business plan. Jill Thomas-Jorgenson, Director of the Region II ISBDC at LCSC, will be the instructor and the registration fee is $10.
The next two workshops are on QuickBooks. The first is titled “QuickBooks – Getting Started” on July 21 at 6-9 p.m., and the second one, “QuickBooks-Accounts Payable, Receivable, and Other Record Keeping” will be the following night on July 22, also at 6-9 p.m. Both workshops will be held in Room 12 of the LCSC Administration Building and will be taught by Judy Schumacher. The fee for each workshop is $25.
“QuickBooks – Getting Started” will teach the basics of QuickBooks, including how to navigate through programs, how to set up a company, and how to work with lists, bank accounts, credit card transactions, and balance sheet accounts. The second QuickBooks workshop will teach how to set up accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other record keeping in QuickBooks. Participants will learn to enter sales, receive payments, make deposits, enter and pay bills, set up inventory, and review reports.
