LCSC students join in food drive in record attempt

Students at Lewis-Clark State College will participate in a nationwide food drive Wednesday in an effort to set a Guinness World Records for the most nonperishable food collected nationally in a 24-hour period.

Cans Across America, sponsored by Sodexo Food Services, will take place at college campuses arcorss the United State in an attempt to collect 400,000 pounds of food in a single day.

In order to make it more convenient and affordable for everyone to contribute, LCSC's Campus Dining Services will be selling non-perishable food items at a discount on Wednesday at the Marketplace in the LCSC Student Union Building.

Nonperishable food items can be donated between 8 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the Marketplace.
