LCSC will be part of global warming seminar on Feb. 5

Lewis-Clark State College will be a part of the National Teach-In web seminar event that will discuss global warming on Feb. 5 at 7-9 p.m. in the Williams Conference Center.

The National Teach-In event is a nation-wide webcast that encourages non-partisan dialogue to find solutions to global warming. Public and private policy decisions about global warming made in the next few years will have impacts lasting for generations and to engage national attention on the issue, this event is being held. The event is free and open to the public.

The evening will include a briefing of the science behind global warming, a Web Cast of “The First 100 Days”, and small round table discussions among those in attendance of global warming solutions. Some of the topics that will be discussed include how to cut carbon levels to 40 percent below what they are today by the year 2020, create millions of green jobs, and carbon neutral power.
