Dental Hygiene Program receives gift

The Lewis-Clark State College Dental Hygiene program recently received a generous donation from the Idaho State Dental Foundation to help both students and the program. Dr. Quinn Durfurrena, DDS, JD, and Dr. Richard George, DDS, presented the program with a check for $2,500 on Nov. 11. The money will be used to defray costs and purchase supplies for the program.

Program Coordinator and Instructor, Vonni Mulrony, was pleased to accept the gift, saying: "When I got the call that we would be receiving a donation from the Idaho Dental Foundation, I was surprised and honored to realize that the dental community thought enough of the program to donate the money to us. Every donation helps keep the students’ tuition down and allows us to continue offering services at a reduced rate. I am humbled to accept the donation on behalf of the Dental Hygiene students at LCSC."

Dr. Durfurrena is the Executive Director for the Idaho State Dental Association. Dr. George is the supervising dentist on Wednesdays in the LCSC program.
