President Fernandez will attend White House roundtable
LEWISTON, Idaho - Lewis-Clark State College President J. Anthony (Tony) Fernandez will join other college and university presidents and chancellors at a White House roundtable on Friday, March 23. According to the White House, this will serve as an opportunity to participate with Administration officials in a conversation on college access, affordability, and completion. During the roundtable, Administration officials will engage presidents and chancellors in exploring constructive solutions to bringing down college costs, making higher education more affordable and attainable, and regaining America's global leadership in higher education attainment, as described in the Administration's "Education Blueprint: An Economy Built to Last." President Fernandez will arrive in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, March 21, to attend the American Association of State Colleges And University's (AASCU) Council of State Representatives Spring Meeting. The Council includes representation from all 50 states and U.S. territories and is comprised of college and university presidents and chancellors, system heads, and state coordinating board executives.
