LCSC Native American Alumni Chapter plans golf scramble

The third annual Lewis-Clark State College Native American Alumni Chapter 4-person Scramble golf tournament will be held Saturday, Aug. 25 at Lewiston's Bryden Canyon Golf Course.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. with tee times starting at 10 a.m. The cost is $30, which includes lunch and goodie bag but doesn't include green fees or carts.

The tournament is limited to 15 teams and all tournament proceeds will be used to support a matching funds grant that benefits scholarships for Native American students at LCSC. Through the scramble and other fundraising efforts, $20,000 in scholarships were provided last year supporting 22 students.

Prizes will be awarded for the top four teams and there will be hole prizes as well.

Sponsors of the tournament include the Clearwater River Casino, the LCSC Alumni Association, the LCSC Native American Club, and the LCSC Native American Alumni Chapter.
