LCSC offers essay contest, presentations for Women's History Month
Numerous presentations and a student essay contest will be among the offerings at Lewis-Clark State College for Women’s History Month in March
The LCSC Division of Social Sciences and the Division of Humanities are sponsoring a new Women’s History Month Student Essay Contest. All currently enrolled LCSC students are eligible. The winner will receive $150 and be recognized at the Senior Research Symposium.
Additionally, a number of presentations are planned for the month on the LCSC campus. All presentations take place at 12 noon. The keynote speaker is author Kim Barnes, a University of Idaho English professor. Barnes earned her bachelor’s degree at Lewis-Clark State College. She will speak March 27 at Sam Glenn Complex 204 on the topic of "The Oil Wives: Gender and Identity in the American Camps of 1960s Saudi Arabia."
