7th Annual LCSC Research Symposium and Author Recognition Program is May 8 – 10
The 7th Annual Lewis-Clark State College Research Symposium in collaboration with the 6th Annual Author Recognition Program is May 8 - 10 at LCSC's Williams Conference Center (WCC). 16 programs are participating this year across seven college divisions. The symposium will take place over a 2 1/2 day period with five keynote addresses and approximately 170 student research presentations. The symposium is free and open to the campus community and the public.
According to Dr. Brian Christenson, Symposium Director and Journal Editor, the mission of the LCSC Research Symposium and Student Research Excellence Journal is to enhance student academic achievement and professional development, and award research excellence by providing the opportunity for students to present their research in a symposium. Additionally, students have the opportunity to publish their research for students, faculty, staff, stakeholders, and the community through an online research journal forum. A display featuring the current student authors will be part of the symposium.
The 2013 symposium program, previous symposium journals, and additional information can be accessed at:
A display of the creative works of LC faculty and staff authors who have submitted their work to the 6th Annual Author Recognition Program will be displayed in the foyer of the WCC. This program was a success last year with over 100 creative LCSC author displays. The goal of the Author Recognition Program is to provide a forum for faculty, administration, and staff to present their publications each year, including books, book chapters, journal articles, editorials, conference papers, patents, and media. An annual, ongoing bibliography is available for review and submission forms can be found at:
