Tuition Scholarships and Waivers

any time. Please note that Out-of-State Tuition Scholarships and Waivers are for students
seeking their first Bachelor's or Associate's Degree. Students
with a Bachelor's Degree are not eligible. Out-of-state tuition
scholarships/waivers are applied to out-of-state tuition and fees and
are not intended to cover in-state tuition or fees. If you are
receiving an Athletic Waiver, you may not be eligible for these funds.
Out-of-State Non-Traditional Student Scholarship
This scholarship has been set up to assist
out-of-state non-traditional students, who have been out of high
school for at least 5 years at the time of their initial enrollment at
Lewis-Clark State College. Full-time, degree seeking students, who
meet this non-traditional requirement, may be eligible for a $500
renewable scholarship. Students must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA, and preference
will be given to applicants who demonstrate financial need as
determined by the Financial Aid Office.

Out-of-State Transfer Student Scholarship
This scholarship has been set up to assist
out-of-state transfer students who wish to complete their bachelor’s
degree at Lewis-Clark State College. To be eligible, student must be a
non-resident, a new, direct transfer to LCSC, have a minimum 3.0
cumulative GPA, have an Associate degree from a recognized, accredited
college (other than LCSC) which must be comprised of at least 60
credits, and must be a full-time (12 or more credits), degree-seeking
student enrolled in a Bachelor degree program. Students who are
or have been concurrently enrolled at LCSC are not eligible.
Students who currently have or have had an approved Consortium
Agreement with LCSC are not eligible. Preference will be given to students who transfer from
the following colleges: North Idaho College, Community Colleges of
Spokane, College of Southern Idaho, Walla Walla Community
College, Treasure Valley Community College, and College of Western
Idaho.

Presidential Out-of-State Tuition Scholarship
(Tier 1)*
New non-resident
students with a high school or transfer cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
or a 28 ACT composite/1260 SAT critical reading/verbal and math combined
scoare are considered for this merit-based award. Students must be
at least tentatively
admitted by the March 1 Priority Deadline to receive priority
consideration. This $5000 scholarship may be renewed for up to
four years of consecutive attendance towards a Bachelor’s degree and up
to two years of consecutive attendance towards an Associate’s degree
based upon meeting the following requirements: maintaining a 3.0 semester GPA,
completing at least 12 credits per semester, and registering for classes
during advanced registration each semester.
An annual $1000 increase, during these four consecutive
years, is an option if additional criteria are met. Out-of-state tuition scholarships/waivers are applied to
out-of-state tuition and fees and are not intended to cover in-state

Lewis-Clark State College Senior Scholarship*
This $500 one year scholarship was established to
award LCSC seniors who have met increase criteria while on
scholarship. To be eligible, students must have a minimum 3.0
cumulative GPA, have completed at least 90 credits, be enrolled in a
Bachelor degree program and who currently have completed the increase
criteria each year for an In-State Presidential or Provost Scholarship
or a Presidential Out-of-State Tuition Scholarship. A student
cannot have had to petition for reinstatement of their scholarship at
any time to be eligible for this award. No separate application
is required and will be awarded based on meeting the above
requirements.
*Effective for new scholarships awarded beginning
with the 2013-2014 academic year. First awards will not be made
until 2016-2017.
Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) Waiver
This waiver allows a
select number of students to enroll in two and four year degree programs
for a reduced amount. The rate is established each year and is 150% of
in-state fees. Residents from one of the following states or
islands are eligible
for consideration: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Commonwealth
of the Northern Marianas Islands, Hawaii,
Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah,
Washington, or Wyoming. Awarding is based on merit-based criteria of a
high school or transfer cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher and being
tentatively admitted by the March 1 priority deadline to receive
priority consideration. This scholarship may be renewed for up to four
years of consecutive attendance towards a Bachelor’s degree and up to
two years of consecutive attendance towards an Associate’s degree based
upon meeting the following requirements: maintaining a 2.5 semester GPA,
completing at least 12 credits per semester, and registering for classes
during advanced registration each semester.
