Diversity Scholarship
Foundation Scholarship
Avista Corporation has developed a scholarship
program for full-time ethnic minority students attending LCSC. The
scholarship program will provide two, one-year scholarships yearly.
One scholarship will be awarded to a student of any ethnic minority
background and the second will be awarded to a Native American
student. Eligible students must be majoring in an approved field of
study: accounting, biology/chemistry, business, communications,
computer science/technology, economics, environmental science,
engineering, mathematics, natural resources, political science,
statistic or technology. A General Application is required and must be
submitted by March 1st.

The Leona H. Craw Memorial
Scholarship
This endowed scholarship has been set up by Leona
H. Craw’s daughter, Patricia, in memory of her mother. This
scholarship is for the benefit of Native American Indian students
seeking a college degree. In order to receive this scholarship,
students must be a Native American Indian, have a 3.0 cumulative
GPA, and be enrolled as a degree-seeking, full-time (12+ credits)
student. A General Application is required and must be submitted by
March 1st.

Hispanic Youth Symposium Scholarship
The Hispanic Youth Symposium Scholarship is awarded
annually during the Idaho Hispanic Youth Symposium to a high school senior
planning to attend LCSC the following fall semester. One annual award is
available and the amount is variable. For more information contact the

Dean and Colleen Mahoney Scholarship
Foundation Scholarship
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicant must be a
full-time student enrolling for 12 or more credits per semester and have a
minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5. Preference will be given to students who
are of minority descent. Preference will also be given to students with
demonstrated financial need, as determined by the Financial Aid Office.
One annual award is available and the amount varies. A General Application
is required and must be submitted by March 1st.

Minority and At Risk Student Scholarship
To be eligible for this scholarship you must be an Idaho
Resident, a graduate of an Idaho High School and meet at least three (3)
of the following criteria: 1)be a 1st generation college student 2) be
handicapped as defined in 20 US Code, Section794 3)be a migrant farm
worker/other seasonal farm worker or be the dependent of a migrant farm
worker/other seasonal farm worker 4) have substantial financial need as
determined by the college 5) be a minority person. For more information
please contact the Financial Aid Office. Annual scholarship deadline is
March 1st.

Plateau Native American Trust Scholarship
Plateau Native American Trust Scholarship was created by
Dr. Alan H. Smith, an anthropologist, professor and administration of
Washington State University who devoted most of his life developing a deep
appreciation and respect for the Native American people of the Northwest.
He contributed immensely to a better understanding of Native American
culture, especially from the Plateau Tribes. This scholarship program is
currently benefiting 16 students who are members of Columbia Plateau
Tribes.

Riddle Family Scholarship
This scholarship has been set up to benefit
Native American students pursuing an undergraduate education
degree at Lewis-Clark State College.
To be eligible applicants must meet the following
criteria: Enroll as a full-time (12 credits) student at LCSC, be
an enrolled tribal member or be a first or second degree
descendent of a federal or state recognized tribe, have acquired
75-90 credits and be within one semester of applying to the LCSC
Teacher Education Program, have at least a 2.8 cumulative gpa,
provide responses to essay question per application, not be in
default on federal student loans or grant repayment, and
complete the Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
An application is required and is due on or before March
1.

The Andrew L. Smith Memorial Scholarship
Foundation
Scholarship
This scholarship was established by the family and
friends of Andrew L. Smith for the purpose of offsetting the educational
expenses of a LCSC Student. Eligibility requirements: 1)be a sophomore,
junior or senior 2)be full-time student (12+ credits) 3)have a cumulative
GPA consistent with the minimum required for admission and for progress
toward hi/her selected major 4)demonstrate financial need as determined by
the Financial Aid Office 5)have a high degree of ambition (evidenced by
recommendations of college staff and/or others). Preference given to
Native American Students. Two (2) letters of recommendation must accompany
application. The amount of the award is variable. A General Application is
required and must be submitted by March 1st.

Isaac "Ike" Wilson Memorial Scholarship
Each year, one scholarship is awarded to a Native
American Student who has completed at least 15 credits at LCSC. Students
must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 and have at least one parent enrolled in
a State or Federally recognized tribe/be of Native American status in
Canada. A General Application is required and must be submitted by March
1st.
