Secondary Education Major
General Education Requirements

The general education core requires 49 credits of lower and upper division work. One course, MATH 170, Calculus I, is duplicated in the major requirements. Because of certification and accreditation requirements, the selections available in the core for secondary education majors is somewhat less varied than those for other majors. In addition, all math majors are required to take at least one year of a foreign or heritage language, further reducing the options.

    Foreign and Heritage Language Courses

    All Majors in the Division of Natural Sciences require at least one year of a foreign or heritage language. Two years are required for a B.A. degree.
