Associate of Science (AS) for
Radiographic Science
Thank you for your interest in the Associate of Science in Radiography (ASR) Program at Lewis-Clark State College (LCSC). This competitive three-year program is comprised of one year of pre-professional courses and two years of professional clinical courses. The ASR Program has affiliations with a number of clinical sites ranging from small clinics to large regional medical centers. Such affiliations allow for diverse and rewarding “hands-on” clinical training in a professional environment.
The mission of the ASR Program is to prepare radiography students to provide excellent patient care in a technically proficient manner. Radiographer’s work as part of a medical team alongside radiologists, physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified nursing assistants and a variety of other allied health care professionals.
The LCSC ASR Program is designed to prepare students to take the national radiography certification examination offered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Successful completion of this examination and the LCSC ASR program allows prospective radiographers the opportunity to seek state licensure where applicable and to work locally, regionally and nationwide.
