Loretta Nickel,
Director of TRiO
Academic Services,
holds a
Master's Degree in Education from the University of Idaho and a
Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Lewis-Clark State College.
Prior to recently returning to the TRiO program at LCSC, she was
the Director of SSS at Big Bend Community College since 1997.
She is also a trained Peer Monitor for the NASP region. Her
areas of expertise include academic advising, reading
strategies, student assessment, and curriculum management.

Margie McLaughlin,
Retention
Specialist,
holds a Master's Degree in English from the University of Idaho
and a Bachelor's Degree in English with Secondary Education
Certification, French and Reading. Her experience includes 12
years of English instruction at the college level. Her
specialties include study skills, text reading, and writing
skills.
Margie is also an instructor for Learning Communities for
Nursing and Undeclared students.

Linda Gallaher, who
holds a Master of Arts Degree in Mathematics from the University
of Illinois, is the Program's Math
Specialist. She provides math support for Pre-Algebra, Basic
and College Algebra, Finite Math, Elementary Education Math and
Statistics courses. TRiO participants can either sign up for an
Applied Study Math 025 or Math 130 Support course for 1 credit,
or access Linda for one-on-one support in the TRiO Learning Lab

Donald Willows,
an Academic
Specialist,
holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business
Administration from Lewis-Clark State College. His previous
experience lends itself from the Financial Industry. Basic
computer skills, accounting, and management are just a few of
his areas of expertise.
