Most scholarship information is on the
LCSC Financial Aid page. Follow the instructions on that page
to apply for
any scholarship.
For all scholarships which include the statement "must demonstrate financial need as determined
by the Financial Aid Office", students must file a FAFSA prior to the March 1 priority deadline.
This is how financial need will be determined. If no FAFSA information is on file by the priority
deadline, the application will be considered incomplete.
The following opportunities are not listed on the Financial Aid page.
- The Compassionate Conservative Scholarship in honor of President George W. Bush.
The LCSC Division of Natural Science announces a scholarship sponsored by Dr. Curtis Sutton,
former Natural Science faculty member.
Students must show merit and be enrolled in at least twelve (12) credits in the Natural Science
Division. Preference is given to students with financial need. International students are
encouraged to apply. The faculty of the Division of Natural Sciences will choose the recipient of
the scholarship. This is a one time award of $500. Deadline for application is March 15, 2008.

- Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Society
The Grants-in-Aid Student Research Program supports full-time undergraduate students in
conducting scientific research in any field of science, technology and engineering. Grants
to improve blood supply safety are encouraged. Individual awards can be for up to
$1,000-$5,000. Membership in Sigma Xi is not required. Annual deadlines are March 15 and

- The Jimmy Guild Memorial Scholarship
The United Paperworkers International Union, Local #712 sponsors this scholarship. Students
must be enrolled full-time, majoring in mathematics and/or computer science and
have a cumulative GPA of 3.0. Preference will be given to students graduating from local
high schools and who are affiliated with a member of the United Paperworkers International
Union, Local #608/712. There is one annual award worth $1000. This is a non-renewable
scholarship. Deadline for submitting application is May 12.
