In 1980,
Scott began working for the LCSC Electronics Technology
department as an electronics instructional aide - his main
assignments included electronic equipment repair and
calibration, program equipment purchasing, and assisting
students with their laboratory assignments in the different
electronics labs. In 1982, he became the instructor for
Electronic Communications program. In 1985, two courses - Analog
Electronics and Digital Electronics were added to his teaching
load. Throughout his career as an electronics and technical
instructor, Scott also taught general education subjects such as
human relations, applied mathematics for electronics, and
technical writing. He obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree
from LCSC in 1991 and his Master of Education Degree in
Industrial Technology Education from the U of I in 1994. Scott
enjoys working on various Campus and Division committees; he
also enjoys working with students by helping them to achieve
their best in his courses. He presently teaches several courses in the
Industrial Electronics Technology program.
