Arboretum Project Campus Trees

Lewis-Clark State College has a wide variety of beautiful trees on campus which are being inventoried, mapped and labeled. An Arboretum Planning Team is working on projects to expand the arboretum to include new species that will thrive in the soil and climate of the LC Valley, and to transform the campus into a learning laboratory.

The Arboretum Planning Team, chaired by the Vice President for Finance and Administration, is composed of college staff, faculty and students, city representatives, community members and LCSC Foundation representatives. Team member, Don Brigham (Landscape Architect) compiled a list of all the species that will be considered for enhancing the existing arboretum and beauty of the campus. Scores of trees are available to choose from as seen in this PDF document created by Don Brigham.
