- Q: Do I have to be a junior or senior to study abroad?
- A: No, you do not! Traditionally, many students elect to spend all or part of their junior year studying abroad,
but our study abroad programs are open to LCSC sophomores, juniors and seniors.
- Q: Is it difficult to get accepted into an overseas study program? What are the eligibility requirements?
- A: Requirements vary by program. For most programs, you should have at least a 2.5 GPA before applying.
Some programs require a higher GPA. Check with the Study Abroad Office for more information.
- Q: Will I need to go through an interview?
- A: Yes, personal interviews are required before applying for study abroad.
- Q: How much time should I spend studying overseas?
- A: You can spend an intensive month, semester, or year overseas. Programs are available year round.
- Q: Isn’t study abroad expensive?
- A: Most programs are comparable to what you would spend on tuition, room, and board as an out-of-state
student. Sister schools are an inexpensive option.
- Q: Can I use my financial aid to study abroad?
- A: Yes! As a registered LCSC student, you may be able to apply your financial aid to study abroad.
- Q: Are scholarships available?
- A: LCSC has several scholarships available for study abroad. Contact our office for information
