What’s up? My
name is Daniel and I’m from Clarkston, Washington. Clarkston is a
smaller town right across the river from Lewiston, Idaho. It takes
me about seven minutes to drive to my parent’s house. I’ve lived in
the valley for three years now, so it was no big deal to move two
miles away from home to go to college. I moved many times during my
childhood and have lived all over the country. With a mild climate,
many conveniences, and a river running through it, the Lewis-Clark
valley is an enjoyable place to live.
I was really active in high school. I played basketball my freshman
and sophomore years in Texas, and when I moved to Clarkston I played
for 3 years on the soccer team. I was on varsity and was the leading
scorer for 3 years, along with being offensive player of the year
and captain the last 2 years. I also belonged to clubs and
organizations for academics such as, Who’s Who Among American High
School Students, National Honor Society, National Honor Roll,
National Society of High School Scholars, Renaissance club, and am
Alumni of the National Youth Leadership forum on Technology.
Outside of school is a different story. I currently hold three jobs
here in the valley. In my spare time I love to play video games
(mainly PC games), make 3-D art, hanging out with friends, play
indoor soccer, and listening to music. Did I mention sleep?
I plan to study Computer Science with a minor in Information Systems
Analysis. My focus is on becoming a game programmer when it’s all
said and done. My experience here at LCSC so far has been
incredible. Classes are relatively small and you can get one-on-one
help if you need it. It’s easy to get to know your professors,
they’re people too you know! There are always activities going on,
tutoring labs for homework, sports clubs, concerts, guest speakers,
and even student driven activities such as LAN parties. I only wish
that there was more time in the day to experience all the things I
want to do. |
