Who Qualifies for Advanced Opportunities?

  • High School Students that are at least 16 years of age by the primary registration deadline of LCSC's term 
  • Students that have completed one-half of their high school graduation requirements
  • Students that are not yet 16 years of age must obtain high school instructor signature in order to participate

What do Technical Competency Credits cost?

Advanced Opportunities offers Technical Competency Credits to students at $10 per credit. These are LOW COST credits that can be earned while still in high school!

For the 2016-2017 school year this is a cost savings to students of $303 per credit.

How do you apply?

If Technical Competency Credits are offered at your school, you will be able to request credit once you receive a final grade of 80% or better and pay the $10 per credit fee. Talk to your teacher about filling out a TCC (Technical Competency Credit) form. The completed form, including all signatures and required fields, must be submitted to the Advanced Opportunities office to register you for Technical Competency Credits.
