Admission Issues/ Holds

Students may be admitted CONDITIONALLY for a variety of reasons:

  • Low high school GPA

  • Low placement test scores

  • Missing 1 or more core component from high school

  • GED Scores

Conditional students must complete 14 baccalaureate-level credits, 12 credits of which must be in four different areas of the general education core, while maintaining a 2.0 GPA within three semesters.

CN holds are placed on students until these requirements have been met.  Contact CAS for more information.

Non-degree seeking students are limited to 7 credits/term and are NOT eligible for financial aid.

Reinstatement – students who are suspended must sit out 1 term prior to petitioning for reinstatement.  Upon approval, they must apply for readmission.  If suspended 3 times, they must wait 5 years before petitioning.  A CAS hold is placed on them until they meet with CAS for an advising intake prior to registration.
