Academic Conditionally
Admitted Students
Who Are Academic Conditionally Admitted Students?
These students are
identified as more at-risk than regularly admitted students. They are
identified as freshmen applicants who do not qualify for regular admission
and
at least one of the following apply:
· They
have < 2.0 High school transcript, high school core or college cumulative
gpa;
· They
are under age 21 and have one of the following scores: ACT composite 14-16
or SAT critical reading/math combined 560-680;
· They
are missing at least one Idaho college admission core standard (but no more
than 2 in any one category nor five total);
· They
have completed a GED with at least a 500/50 score;
· They
have graduated from a non-accredited high school or home school.
What Do Academic Conditionally Admitted Students Need to
Know?
Academic Students must:
· Complete
14 college level credits with a 2.0 gpa
· Complete
12 of these 14 credits in four different categories of the General Education
Core
· Complete
this requirement within 3 semesters.
· Meet
with a member of the Career & Advising Services staff each semester,
beginning with their first semester in order to be eligible for subsequent
registration activity.
Note: If the student does
not complete these requirements, they will be moved to non-degree seeking
status, limited to 7 credits, unable to obtain financial aid.
