  • Obtain a drop slip from your high school.

  • Provide identification (driver's license or government-issued picture I.D.) Social Security cards, student I.D. cards, and birth certificates will not be accepted as identification.

  • Bring your parent/guardian to the Center to sign a release for you to participate in the program.

What is the Cost of the Tests?
The best news of all is that it's FREE to prepare for the GED.  There is no charge for instruction, use of books, or other supplies.  The GED is made up of 5 tests, each costing $15.

When Are The Tests Given?
Tests are administered every Friday by appointment only.  During summer hours, tests are given on Mondays.

What is a Passing Score?
You must have a minimum Standard Score of 410 in each subject area and an overall average of 450.  If you plan to enter college, your overall average Standard Score must be at least a 500.

What if you do not Pass the Test?
If you do not pass you may RE-TEST. The cost of each re-test is $15.00. If you are lacking more than a few points, we recommend that you take the GED prep class or study on your own. Before retesting, give yourself sufficient time to adequately prepare.
