Since the LCSC Foundation was
established in 1984, many of the leading members of the
Valley’s communities have served as members of its
Board. The service and leadership of hard working
Board members of the past laid the groundwork that has
allowed the Foundation to achieve its current level of
status and success. Today’s dedicated Board members
are paving the way for the continued and future
accomplishments of tomorrow’s Foundation. As such, we
recognize Board members who provided outstanding
service during their tenure on the Foundation Board by
naming them Emeritus Foundation Board Members,
a status that is maintained for life.
Generally, Emeritus Foundation Board
members will be those who serve at least two full
terms on the Foundation Board, and serve at least one
term as a Board officer or committee chair with an
outstanding attendance record and level of
participation. Retired or retiring Foundation Board
members may be nominated by the Nominating Committee
of the Board for Emeritus Foundation Board Member
status. These nominations are presented to the full
Foundation Board for ratification.
Emeritus Board members are invited
to attend, as voting members whose presence does not
count toward a quorum, all Foundation Board meetings.
They are invited to all Foundation social events and
receptions, and all important College events,
including commencement. They are on the College’s
mailing list and continue to receive the campus
calendar, the College newsletter and all pertinent
campus information in order to be kept up to date and
to continue to be ambassadors for the Foundation and
the College.
