Family Weekend

THANK YOU to all who participated in Family Weekend 2018!  It was a fun-filled weekend with activities for LC students and family members of all ages.

2018 Schedule of Events:

Friday, April 27

11 am
Administration Building Sign Dedication as part of 125th Celebration
The dedication, which is open to the public, will start at 11 a.m. in front of the north entrance to the building. LCSC President J. Anthony (Tony) Fernandez will give a welcome before the unveiling of the sign. Local historian Steven Branting will follow with a short talk about the building.

12 pm to 7 pm
Registration - Art Under the Elms Entrance (In Front of Administration Building)
Welcome to LC! Pick up your Art Under the Elms wrist bands, brunch tickets, event information, and event apparel. (Please note: FREE admission to Art Under the Elms, brunch, and all other events are available ONLY to registered Family Weekend attendees and will be available for pick up at Friday and Saturday registration times ONLY.)

12 pm to 7 pm
Art Under the Elms-LCSC Campus
The event features over 100 booths of exquisitely hand-crafted fine art items from artisans nationwide, and a variety of activities, performances and demonstrations for your enjoyment. For complete information, please visit http://www.lcsc.edu/ce/aue/

President's Row Tree Planting Ceremony
7th Avenue & 5th Street, North of Sacajawea Hall
President's Row is a program established by the Associated Students of Lewis-Clark State College (ASLCSC) and honors past, current, and future Presidents at LCSC. Please join us for our first commemorative planting of trees on LCSC's campus.

Family Trivia Night - SUB, Lower Level
Join us for a fun-filled night of trivia!  Prizes will be awarded in a variety of categories.  (Sponsored by: Warrior Entertainment Board)

Saturday, April 28

Welcome to L-C! Pick up your AUE wrist bands, brunch passes, event information, and event apparel. Please note: FREE passes to brunch, Art Under the Elms, and other events are available only to registered Family Weekend attendees and must be picked up during Friday or Saturday registration/check-in times ONLY.

Brunch - Student Union Building (Lower Level - Solarium Area)
Stop by and join us for a yummy brunch on your way to enjoy the day! Wristbands are available during Friday and Saturday registration times ONLY.  (Sponsored by: ASLCSC and LCSC Alumni Association)

Seaport Quilters Guild Festival of Quilts, "Galaxy of Quilts"- Clarkston High School (401 Chestnut, Clarkston)
Hundreds of quilts on display, demonstrations, vendors, Quilter's Market, and quilt raffle.

SOLD OUT! Celebrate the College's 125th Anniversary - Historic Trolley Tours
Trolley will pick up participants in front of the President's House (8th Avenue & 6th Street)
Ride in a replica of Lewiston's 1920 trolley car while exploring the original 1870's cemetery and trace the development of Lewis-Clark State College and other Normal Hill attractions.  Tour also includes walking to view Victorian homes. Tour lasts approximately 90 minutes. Tickets are $18 per person.  Space is limited for this event and pre-registration is required.  (Sorry, no refunds will be issued for this event.)

Ben Seidman PhotoEntertainment: Magician Ben Seidman - Silverthorne Theatre 
His performances are jam-packed with stand-up comedy, fascinating true stories, and world-renowned sleight-of-hand. His energy and playfulness are contagious as they spread through the audience and he never fails to give a sensational performance. He has appeared on Penn & Teller: Fool Us on the CW network and starred in two specials on the Travel Channel.  Seidman is the only person in history to be named resident magician at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. After several thousand performances, he has become known as a powerful young staple of the Las Vegas entertainment scene.  He has also served as creative consultant for Mindfreak on A&E during which he designed the illusions performed by Criss Angel.  L-C Valley Dine-Around
Take the family out for dinner on the town and experience the great restaurants that our valley has to offer! Discounts and promotions will be offered at select local establishments. Please refer to your registration packet (which will be available at event check-in) for participating restaurants. Please note that dinner is on your own.
