BE IT ENACTED BY THE ASLCSC SENATE:


Section 1: To approve the new Funding Process (document attached) along
                  with all criteria from the new document to replace the current
                  Grant Proposal.

 

Section 2: This bill will pass upon a simple majority vote of the ASLCSC
                  Senate and the signature of the ASLCSC President.













Funding Opportunities
For Student Programs
2000-2001

This ASLCSC funding process is a means of support to recognize Lewis-Clark State College Clubs & Organizations to better their opportunities in pursuing their endeavors.

Who May Apply: Any LCSC recognized student organization.
Purpose
: To assist in funding events/activities for LCSC clubs and Organization.
How To Apply: Complete a formal written proposal following the guidelines on the reverse side of this form.
                     Return to: ASLCSC President, Student Union Building 219
Deadline: 3rd Monday in November
             3rd Monday in March

Consider the program you are doing for this academic year for ideas on how this opportunity could enhance a program already on the calendar or enable you to try a new idea that is not currently funded.

New Recognized Clubs & Organizations Start Up Funding Request Policy

1. All new clubs and organizations may receive a one-time $100.00 start up fund, following
    official recognition process and brief introduction of club at a Senate Meeting or Roundtable

This policy covers all requests for Club and Organization start up funds. All expenditures given to clubs and organizations will be drawn from the clubs and organizations account until funds are exhausted from that account.

This year, with the implementation of the new funding procedures, the funding process is divided into three steps:

  1. submission of the proposal to the ASLCSC President
  2. evaluation by the ASLCSC Senate
  3. review and approval/rejection by the ASLCSC Senate

Funding Request Guidelines

Following the guidelines listed below, provide a typewritten proposal describing your funding request. Please do not exceed three typewritten pages.

1. Cover Sheet
    Attach a cover sheet which includes the name, address, and telephone number of a
    contact person as well as the name of the sponsoring organization or department
     submitting the proposal.
2. Event Description
   A brief overview of your event, including the following:
    - Event title
    - Target audience
    - Number expected to attend/affected by the event
    
- Facilities required
     - Event length
     - Resources, materials to be used (including media materials)
     - Event presenters
     - Date of event
3. Event Objectives/Desired Outcome
   Describe your objectives in a clear and concise manner discussing how the funding
   relates to the chosen event.
4. Funding Requested
     - Specify the amount requested and specify how the funding will be used.
     - List current fund balance, additional sources of funding, other pending requests, and future
        fundraising programs.

Awards will be based upon the above criteria and the overall quality of the proposal. Announcement of funding will be sent no later than (Set by Senate).
