Senator Bybee second Senator Ramirez. 9 yes, 1 proxy Senator Sherpa, 0 no
· Senate Bill 05-SU002: Appointment of Ben Schuster as Chief Justice. Motion to approve Senator Bybee second Senator Smith. Senator Johnson recommended tabling due to the fact that he was not comfortable with appointing someone he did not know, he felt that with the minimal amount of activity that takes place in the summer there should not be a great need for a chief justice. Chief Justice Mosher noted that the reason she felt it would be good to have someone in there during summer would be to acquaint them with the position than to actually participate in activities. Senator Rawson thought the group should maybe ask Ben some questions and have him introduce himself. He expressed his desire to study law and further his education beyond LC. Ex-VP Mary WakWak added that Ben had in the past expressed much interest in getting himself out there on campus and had wanted to be on mock trial which at present time conflicted with his schedule, she thought he was a good example of the type of involved student that other students would see a lot of.
Roll call vote- 9 yes, 1 proxy Senator Sherpa, 0 no.
· Senate Bill 05-SU003: Appointment of Allison Rohde to Media Relations position for ASLCSC. Motion to approve Senator Ramirez second Senator Bybee. Roll call vote 9 yes, 0 no, 1 proxy Senator Sherpa.
