Committee Reports

Christmas Craft Fair: Vice-President Ambriz reported that the Committee met last week, has been working on Policies & Procedures. Also reported that the committee met with Jaime White in the Activity Center to figure out logistics. Informed the Senate that we will not be using the gym floor as they just got it fixed and we do not want the ASB to be responsible for any damage that could possibly happen to the gym floor during the Craft Fair. Will get the confirmations for the vendors sent out this week. Met with Dale Askew with Sodexho today to figure out how to offer a fundraising opportunity to Clubs and Orgs for concessions.

Diversity: Senator Sherpa reported that the committee met last week and worked on the Policies and Procedures. Meeting tomorrow. Senator Hanson reported that the committee would like input and ideas for Civil Rights Day.

Outdoor Rec: Senator Rawson reported that they met last Thursday. Had an official election of officers, Senator Rawson: Chair, Senator Bybee: Vice Chair, Senator Riggers: Secretary. Committee is in the process of formalizing Policies & Procedures. Discussed the progress of the outdoor rec status. Most of the kayaks etc. are stored at the Physical Plant right now awaiting proper storage. Home Depot has donated some goods to prepare the building for proper storage for the gear. Committee discussed and voted to stop the leasing of the Boathouse, officially informed Ron Smith, and will be drafting a Resolution to relinquish responsibility for the Boathouse. Will also be drafting a Resolution to hand over the canoe to Outdoor Recreation and Student Activities. Committee included Jayson Ulrich and Brandon Lytle on the committee. Lytle reported that the storage facilities for the gear will be done when the shelving is built in the storage area, feels that there is not demand for the gear at this time of year so it isn’t pressing to get it all done in a hurry at this point.
