Call to order
The meeting was called to
order at 4:30 p.m.
Roll Call
Present: Senators Bybee,
Hanson, Johnson, Mewes, Rawson, Riggers, Smith. President Racich,
Vice-President Ambriz, Committees Director Bloomsburg, Chief Justice Allen,
Associate Justice Schuster.

Approval of Minutes:
Motion to
approve minutes of November 1, 2005 Senator Ramirez, second Senator Rawson. Unanimous.
Student Government Advisor
■ Ernie Williams- Got the approval for the
Student Activities Coordinator
■ Brandon
Lytle- Texas Hold ‘Em Wednesday at 7 p.m., showing of the “40-Year Old Virgin”
at 7 p.m. in WCC. “Simple People”
will be performing in the SUB Solarium at noon Thursday, free.
LCSC Administration Communications
■ Ron Smith- Nothing.
Executive Communications
■ President
Racich- Student Health Insurance Committee met and finalized their report for
the State Board of Education. Will be talking with the SBOE
by phone tomorrow. ITPG Resolution was submitted to the committee; they
seemed happy with it and are finalizing their report for the President.
■ Vice-President
Ambriz- Grant funding emails were sent out to advisers and Presidents today and
tomorrow the IDG’s will be sent out to the clubs for
their Grant Funding.
■ Committees
Director Bloomsburg- Committees seem to be coming along on their Policies &
Procedures.
Judicial Communications
■ Chief Justice Allen- College Crew’s
constitution was sent back to College Crew for review. Needed
further definition in some of areas of the constitution. Organization of
Non-Traditional Students constitution was passed. Residence Hall Association
constitution was passed. ASLCSC 2005-2006 election code is done and will be
getting copies of the code to everyone on Thursday for review. There is a
campaign fund change to get it better in line with inflation.
Committee Reports
Christmas Craft Fair: Vice-President Ambriz reported that the Committee met
last week, has been working on Policies & Procedures. Also
reported that the committee met with Jaime White in the
Diversity: Senator
Sherpa reported that the committee met last week and worked on the Policies and
Procedures. Meeting tomorrow. Senator Hanson reported
that the committee would like input and ideas for Civil Rights Day.
Outdoor Rec: Senator Rawson reported that they met last Thursday.
Had an official election of officers, Senator Rawson: Chair, Senator Bybee:
Vice Chair, Senator Riggers: Secretary. Committee is in the process of
formalizing Policies & Procedures. Discussed the progress
of the outdoor rec status. Most of the kayaks
etc. are stored at the Physical Plant right now awaiting proper storage. Home
Depot has donated some goods to prepare the building for proper storage for the
gear. Committee discussed and voted to stop the leasing of the Boathouse,
officially informed Ron Smith, and will be drafting a Resolution to relinquish
responsibility for the Boathouse. Will also be drafting a
Resolution to hand over the canoe to Outdoor Recreation and Student Activities.
Committee included Jayson Ulrich and Brandon Lytle on the committee. Lytle
reported that the storage facilities for the gear will be done when the
shelving is built in the storage area, feels that there is not demand for the
gear at this time of year so it isn’t pressing to get it all done in a hurry at
this point.
Ways & Means: Senator Ramirez reported that they met last Thursday and worked on the
grievance section. Meeting today and Thursday after the
Senate meetings.
Santa’s Helpers: Senator Johnson reported that the committee met this morning. Elected
Vice Chair: Allen Mewes and Secretary: Myndie VanHorn. Have a draft of a letter
to be sent out to local businesses decided to not send it out blanket to
everyone on the list. Will be sending it to people who have
given donations in the past. Have a collection of cans, some need
wrapped so any free time you have feel free to wrap the cans.

Bill 05-F027: Funding for Professional Technical Preview Day: Author:
Senator Rawson introduced. Discussion ensued. Motion to vote,
Senator Hanson, second Senator Ramirez. Roll call vote: 10 Yes, 0 No, 0 Abstentions. Bill passed
unanimously.
Senate Information Reports
■ Senator
Bybee asked Ron Smith where the gym repair funds came from. Ron Smith advised
that the sub-contractor was absorbing that cost.
■
Senator Hanson reported that the SD097 change to Pass/Fail has passed
through the Curriculum Committee. Mid-term grades were discussed during Student
Affairs, the Committee is willing to endorse the
Resolution to the Faculty Senate. Also discussed getting some
of the professors involved in Civil Rights Day.
■ Senator Smith brought up the NWLC and
the schedule for leaving. Those involved decided to stay after the meeting to
discuss logistics.
■ Senator
Sherpa asked if the TRR’s old office is still open? Informed that the room assignment will be decided on at a SUB board
meeting which is yet to be scheduled.
