Call to order

Senator Allen called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m.

Roll Call

Present: Senators Allen, Arnzen, Filler, Frei, Fragnella, McKee. Vice President Smith, Media Relations Director Sherpa, Committees Director Gray, Associate Justice Ramirez.

Excused Absent: Senators Astle, Estes, Ojeda, Diaz, President Bloomsburg, Chief Justice Vaughan, Associate Justice Zipse, Associate Justice Wittman, Brandon Lytle.

Audience: Ernie Williams, Senate Secretary Myndie VanHorn.

Student Government Advisor

■ Ernie Williams- Thanked the co-curricular / non-curricular committees for their work.

Student Activities Coordinator

■ Brandon Lytle- at Globetrotters.

LCSC Administration Communications

■ Tony Fernandez- reported that the SBOE meets this week. He and the President will be leaving for Boise tomorrow. The agenda is a rather short one. Routine matters. Will be going to Seattle on Friday for the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities annual meeting. Will be flying back to Boise Friday night where President Thomas will be receiving an award.

Executive Communications

■ President Bloomsburg- Absent.

■ Vice-President Smith- Bloomsburg asked that Smith pass on that he got a message from Dave and Thursdays game they are asking people to wear white and Saturday wear blue. Thursday Roundtable will be in the studio at 4:30 so we can have a meeting with the CDA representatives. Ways & Means will be meeting after Roundtable on Thursday. Finance will need to meet because today was the deadline for the grant proposals. Plan on meeting Tuesday after the Senate meeting. Doc Sears project: got the paperwork from Ralph that Eric was working with last week. The College Advancement people are in Boise this week. “Should be rollin here really quick.”

■ Committees Director Gray- Thank you for putting up the meetings on the board. Will have an updated committee roster on Thursday if anyone wants to change committees, please do so before Thursday.

■ Media Relations Director Sherpa- Will be making up flyers for the elections if anyone would like to help her with this please let her know.

Judicial Communications

■ Associate Justice Ramirez reported that they will be meeting Thursday to see where they are with their election tasks.

■ Senator Allen stated that the Native American Club will have another fundraiser this week.
