Student Government Advisor
■ Ernie Williams- Welcome back. OELA will present Cesar Chavez Day, Tues April 3
11:30-1 in the SUB Solarium. Will be showing a video series and Margo Aragon
will be talking about his life and contributions. Student
Action with Farm Workers presentation by Paloma Lira and Guillermo Raya.
Will also be doing a food drive and selling wrist bands reading “Si Se Puede”
(Yes, it can be done) for $2. Will be raffling a Starbucks
gift basket.
Student Activities Coordinator
■ Brandon Lytle- Kickball registration
will be due by March 30 by 5pm. Volleyball registration coming up deadline is April
6 at 5pm. 31st will be taking van to Spokane for Spokane Shock, have
some tickets left. Saints and Shepherds in SUB Solarium 5:30 Thursday.
LCSC Administration Communications
■ Dr. Fernandez unable to make it to
meeting welcomed everyone back from break.
Executive Communications
■ President Bloomsburg- Institutional Development meeting
April 6 at 3pm in SUB 225.
■ Vice-President
Smith- Student Tech Fee meeting will be April 23 at 3:30. April
17 CDA trip. Will be leaving here around 2 or 3pm. Need to figure out how many people are going
up there, have to notify the campus 4 days in advance of change of venue or
cancellation.
■ Committees Director Gray- Excused
Absent.
■ Media Relations Director Sherpa- No Pathfinder this week. Will be out again next week.
Student Government debates Thursday in Solarium. Warrior Spotlight needs to be
Assocociate Justices for next week.
Judicial Communications
■ Chief Justice Vaughan- Sent emails to
all candidates regarding the debate. All candidates need to be at one of the
debates. BBQ will be April 11. Put a description sheet in your box for more
information for the CDA people.
Committee Reports
COMM Board: Brandon
Lytle reported that Maria Lacey was replaced as the editor of the Pathfinder.
Matt Wilson is now the editor.
Graduation: Senator
Frei reported that they met today and delegated some of the duties. Working on the donation letters. If anyone
has any ideas of who to send them out to get with her.
Doc Sears Legacy: Vice President Smith reported that he and Senator Estes met with the
artist regarding the Doc Sears Legacy Project. Trying to get some of the last
minutes things figured out. Everything seems to be going in the right
direction.
Faculty Senate: Chief Justice Vaughan reported that they met last week. Student Fee
Proposal is going through the chain of command.

from office. Motion
for Executive Session Senator Astle, second Senator Fragnella. Unanimous.

passed.
■ Senate Bill 07-F047: Funding for Leadership
Speaker for fall semester. Discussion ensued. Cost is $2400. all inclusive. Will be geared towards
Clubs and Organizations. If you would like to look into him further you
can look at his website at “gonzospeaks.” Motion to vote,
Senator Frei, second Senator Fragnella. Roll call vote: 7 Yes, 1 No, 2
Abstentions. Bill passed.

Senator Ojeda: ILLTA fashion show on March 31. Donations are accepted. Fundraiser.

Astle: Brought back a “souvenir” from DC for Senators to read.

Williams: recommended to fall senators to attend the David Kelly seminar.

Frei: reported that the Humanities Division have David
and Dawn tonight in the Silverthorne. Dawn is an artist and David is a
publisher / writer. Will be an art presentation. 7 pm
tonight. “Transience and Permanence in Landscapes.”

Smith asked if the grant was put in for institutional development? Was advised that institutional development was not applied for.
Discussion ensued.
■ Senator
Allen advised that has been promoted to a coordinator for the PACE program out
in Lapwai. Program deals with high school students who want a math or science
career. Looking for more students, get hold of him for more information. Brought up the DC trip and a presentation that was agreed on before
the trip.
