Senate Information Reports

Senator Estes reported that the TWIST Conference at the YWCA was a success. Once they could show that the ASLCSC donated they were able to get more business donations. The students were very happy with the conference. The YWCA extends their thanks to the Senate.

Pasang Sherpa reported that the Debate Team went to Lynfield College. The team did well.  Molly got 2nd place in the impromptu speaking. Informed the Senate that Molly will be graduating this semester. Advised that since Molly has been the one to keep everything rolling, she is concerned that the team will die with Molly gone. Requested the support of the Administration and stated that they would be much better off with a Debate Coach.

Would like to have Mike Johnson at the meeting on Thursday to explain the situation. Brandon Lytle stated that Mike Behnke is the supervisor and he suggested that Allen talk to him.

Senator Karen Johnson stated that students wanted her to pass it on that the new parking regulations are “stupid.”
