The meeting was called to
order at 4:30 p.m.

Present: Senators Allen,
Arnzen, Fragnella, Frei, Karen Johnson, Kent Johnson, Ojeda. President Bloomsburg,
Vice President Smith, Media Relations Director Sherpa, Chief Justice Vaughan, Associate
Justice Wittman.
Excused Absent:
Senator Estes.

Williams, Brandon Lytle, Senate Secretary Myndie VanHorn.
Approval of Minutes:
Approval of
the minutes for October 10, 2006.
Motion Senator Kent Johnson, second Senator Arnzen. Unanimous.
Student Government Advisor
■ Ernie Williams- Co and Non-Curricular met yesterday and
made decisions. Announcements will
go out shortly, wants to thank the members for their time and effort.
Student Activities Coordinator
LCSC Administration Communication
■ No one present.
Executive Communications
■ President Bloomsburg- Asking for Faculty Senate
representatives. Senator Kent
Johnson offered and said he would cover everything under Faculty Senate. Will have to put Brayton Zipse back on Student Affairs. VP
Smith asked if the policy regarding the Faculty Senate and sub-committees
should be amended. Radio Club meeting today.
Transmitter is in and should be up and running by next week only thing that
they are waiting on is the antennae.
■ Vice-President
Smith- Told the Senate what the card is for that is going around the room. Need
two more senators on Finance, right now have Kent and Tiffany.
This is where the student fees are discussed, if that was something you were
interested in when you came in this is a committee you should be on. Senator
Allen and Frei volunteered. Grant Funding proposals are in and he is just about
ready to pass out the packets. There are only two proposals on the table and
since that is all they may be able to meet after
Roundtable on Thursday.
■ Media Relations Director Sherpa- Americorps
is looking for volunteers.

Legacy Committee: VP Smith stated they met and are still waiting on numbers from Senator
Estes’ side of things. Has got some numbers from his side.
Craft Fair: Would
like to meet on Wednesday.
Old Business
Resolution 06-F001: Remained tabled.
Bill 06-F015: Senator
Karen Johnson reported that she checked the closet and was unable to locate the
books there. Senator Kent Johnson asked for a copy of the book list. Bill
remained tabled.

Senate Information Reports
Audience Time
■ Senator
Arnzen stated they have not been getting the Pathfinder over in the diesel
program.
■ Senator
Kent Johnson brought up the alcohol policy and the non-college owned dorms off
campus. Stated that there are students who are questioning
the alcohol policy in the dorms. Senator Frei stated they are managed by
the college. President Bloomsburg asked who should be brought in to discuss
this. Ernie advised the Senate should have Karan Morscheck into the meeting.
Senator Karen Johnson stated the Senate should look into landlord / tenant
rights. Senator Kent Johnson stated that the buildings are not leased by LCSC.
Senator Karen Johnson stated she knows the person who owns the building if the
Senate would like to invite her. President Bloomsburg stated at this point it
would be more of a Residence Life issue. Discussion ensued regarding the SBOE
alcohol policy. Senator Allen stated that last year this came up in the Senate
and he recommended that there should be more security personnel and residence
advisors as well as cameras to monitor the situation. VP Smith advised they
should also ask about the door propping issue and the vandalism policy. Senator
Kent Johnson stated that people are complaining that they are being charged for
other people vandalizing the building, this may be a legality issue.
