ASLCSC Senate Minutes
May 2, 2000

President Steve Wright called the meeting to order at 5:25 p.m.

Present: Alrick, Lawyer, Ochszner, McCoy, Heath, Steinhauer, Arthur, Skow
Absent: Nunez

Executive Reports - President Wright welcomed the new Senators.

New Business:
President Wright requested to amend the agenda to discuss and vote on Senate Bill 00-SU03 prior to Senate Bills 00-SU01 and 00-SU02.

A motion was made by Senator McCoy to amend the agenda. Senator Ochszner seconded.  
Vote: 8 yes, 0 no, 0 abstentions.

Senate Bill #00-SU003, Motion Senator McCoy, Second Senator Heath. Discussion.
Motion to table the bill until a future time, Senator McCoy, Second Senator Heath.
Vote: 6 yes, 1 no, 1 abstention.

Senate Bill #00-SU001, Motion Ochszner, Second Senator Alrick. Discussion.
Vote: 8 yes, 0 no, 0 abstentions.

Senate Bill #00-SU002, Motion Senator Lawyer, Second Senator Alrick. Discussion
Vote: 7 yes, 1 no, 0 abstentions.

Dick Magruder welcomed the new senators and officers. He is looking forward to working with everyone in the next year.

Audience Time:
Senator Lawyer expressed her wish to have a Senate Business column in the pathfinder.
