Media Relations- Advised that she is still “printerless.”

Judicial Communications

Chief Justice Allen- Elections are proceeding as scheduled. Are having difficulty finding a place to hold the first debate as the SUB is booked for March 16. Associate Justice Wittman advised that the solarium is booked by the Native American Awareness week as a backup location in case of rain. Senator Smith added that he thought it might be a better idea to have the debate either the day before or the day after so that the debates weren’t on the same day of the week. The reason he thought this was a good idea was so that people who have a class during the noon hour on Mondays and Wednesdays but no class on Tuesdays and Thursdays could participate. Senator Johnson added that the technical side was responsible for the increase in student population this last year. Because the breakdown of the seats available are based on the numbers for the technical and academic sides, he asked that they check into the numbers and make sure that the numbers of technical and academic seats on the Senate are still correct. President Racich stated that the technical side had been suffering a decrease in the last couple of years so it may be starting to even out, but the Judicial Branch should still check the numbers.
