Brought up the ethics code. Stated that he had a problem with this much money being given to a Student Government member. VP Smith stated that he thought it wasn’t fair that Senator Ojeda wrote this bill for herself. Said he agreed with what Senator Ojeda is trying to do but he questions if every student has that opportunity, if they wanted this opportunity they would have to have a bill sponsored. Senator Astle stated that he thought the Student Senate account was lacking in funds to approve both bills that are on the table for funding today. Senator Ojeda stated that this was her first choice for funding and she hasn’t done any other fundraising yet, has until June to get the money.
