Smith- Talked briefly about retreat and stated that retreat will be mandatory.
It will be set for the weekend of August 18. The reason he is making it
mandatory is so that retreat is not a waste of time. There will be training for
those just coming in and team-work skills that are valuable to get the Senate
off to a good start. Brandon, Jayson and he have sat down and planned it out. Will be leaving early morning on the 18th and coming
back on the 19th. Talked about absences and stated that
Student Government members need to mark out the time for the meetings that are
required. Stated that he thinks there should be roll call for all three
branches so there is record for every meeting of who was there.

Motion to amend the agenda to appoint Senate Majority
Leader and Senate Pro-Tem, Senator Fragnella, second Senator Teats. Unanimous.
Senator Fragnella nominated
Senator Frei, seconded by Senator (unsure, name was not said).

Fragnella voted yes, Senator Frei abstained. Senator Frei new Senate Majority
Leader.

President Smith stated that
he thought Senators Frei and Fragnella, Myndie and he should get together this
summer to work on job descriptions to avoid some of the problems that Student
Government had this year.
