Student Government Advisor

          Ernie Williams- None

Student Activities Coordinator

          Brandon Lytle-  None

LCSC Administration Communications

          Tony Fernandez-  None

Executive Communications

President Smith- Welcome it’s good to see new faces in here and bills on the table, some seats full.  I attended the Dave Kelley presentation.  I thought it had a lot of useful information.  The response wasn’t as good as we’d hoped, but Fridays are tough on this campus.  I think it was good and the people did benefit from it.  I’ll save the rest for committees.

Vice-President Astle- Couple things, I’ll act as a rep for Student Activities.  There will be night golf, Wednesday.  Also, they are taking a Stanley Hot Spring hike trip, very limited spaces.  3 on 3 basketball.  An adult comic will be here Wednesday 8pm in the Solarium.  Craft fair, we need to meet before I forget what’s on my mind.  Graduation, heads up, I called the Elks, the person wasn’t sure, call back another time.  Called the events center at the Casino and next Tuesday at 11am, we’re going to go down there and discuss all the stuff.  Anyone is more than welcome to go.  AA Myndie stated: Julie Crea would be interested in going to the Casino. President Smith asked: Do we need to rent a 15 passenger van?

          Media Relations Director O’Harra- None.

Committees Director Curd- We’re going to start putting times date and places on the board in ASLCSC.  Also, in the meetings we will be taking minutes, so in the future we’ll have a reference to what we actually did.  So the chair might ask you to take some minutes about what was decided.  Co-curricular meets Friday at 1pm, the comm board will meet October 12, noonish, in senate chambers.

Judicial Communications

AJ Rice stated: Not a whole lot, all the club constitutions have been sent back for changes.

Committee Reports

President Smith:  Craft fair, we passed a bill for the signs to be fixed.  Thursday before this meeting, anyone that would like to help and I encourage you to, haul signs from downstairs up back to pickup to get fixed up.  They are down in the vault.  Thursday at 4 works.  Otherwise I will do it myself.  Accreditation meeting today, I went through a bunch of things.  You may be contacted to represent students as Dr. Fernandez stated.  Student Services Directors Council will be getting students to help.  If you know anyone that might be good and has been around, send them my way or Dr. Fernandez’s way to take pressure off this group.  At Student Services Directors Council, told them what ASLCSC has going, some of the main highlights, the spring class schedule is now online.  It’s actually 3 weeks earlier than it normally is.  It will take the pressure off the last few weeks of advising.  By the end of the week, your advisor can release you.  International Director, Dr. Kathy Grussing wanted to publicize the Tibet movie by Sean Cassidy.  $10 for normal people, $2 for students.  It will be at the Silverthorne on Friday.  The Japanese educational recruiters are going to be here Friday, if you are thinking about a change of venue and want to teach English.  And then New Student Recruitment, is doing lots of visitations this month, they have enrollment goal, next Fall for 3721.  Hopefully it will keep going up.  LCWarroirmail committee met Friday and it was a productive meeting, at first it seemed like a lot that we went back over, now faculty are included.  I think we made a significant step, the committee decided to look at it just as an e-mail tool, not a classroom management tool.  I think that will help keep the committee focused a little more.  Decided to keep the Warriormail survey the same.  There is a  Facebook group and a bulletin out on MySpace.  Tell friends, write it on the board in classrooms.  There are opinions, we jut need to get them to the committee.

Senate Information Reports

Senate Majority Leader Frei: Just to continue on the recycling, they printed up some new recycling signs.  John said he was going to get them on the trashcans this week.  Also, I asked as far as funding goes, it just came out of the recycling budget.  Senator Binkley asked:  Do you think he would be open to doing what Ali was talking about, making us some more copies of images or graphics?  Frei: Just call him up and ask him or stop by.  Wednesday he already started printing them.  President Smith stated:  Good job on getting this done.  Especially Majority Leader Frei since it’s something you worked so hard on.
