8 Whereas: The Co-Curricular line item only allows Clubs and
Organizations
9 that compete in curriculum based competitions
to apply for funding.

11 Whereas: Clubs and Organizations that
are able to apply for Co-Curricular
12 funding make up less than 25% of all the
recognized Clubs and
13 Organizations on the Lewis-Clark State
College campus.

15 Whereas: The ASLCSC cannot fully fund
all Clubs and Organizations that
16 apply for Clubs and Orgs funding.

18 Whereas: Clubs and Organizations that
are not eligible for Co-Curricular funding
19 have petitioned the ASLCSC Senate to be
granted access to Co-
20 Curricular funding.

22 THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASLCSC
SENATE:

24 Section 1: A new line item be added to student fees called Non-Curricular
25 Competition, and that it be awarded in the following manner.

27 Section 2: $2.25 from Student Fees go toward the Non-Curricular Competition
28 fee.

30 Section 3: That the following criteria
be accepted as policy concerning the
31 governance and Administration of these
funds:

33 1) The
committee that distributes the Co-Curricular Fee shall also
34 distribute the Non-Curricular Competition
Fee.

36 2) This
fee shall be distributed by similar policies and procedures as
37 the Co-Curricular Fee.
38 3) The Non-Curricular
Competition Fee be distributed once per semester
39 with proposals being due the same date as
Co-Curricular proposals.

41 Section 4: The following items are necessary criteria to
distribute this fund:

43 1) Not a curriculum related
competition.
44 2) The
activity will not be a workshop and or a conference.
45 3) Must relate to some kind
of competition.

51 Section 5: This resolution will pass
upon a 2/3 majority vote of the
52 ASLCSC Senate and the signature of the
ASLCSC President.
