will repeal Section 33-3717A, Idaho Code.

Whereas: House Bill 231, if adopted, will amend Chapter 37, Title 33,
14 Code by the addition of new section
33-3717A.

16 Whereas: House Bill 231, if adopted,
will authorize fees, including tuition fees,
17 for attendance at

Senate for approval.

23 Whereas: Article IX, Section 1 of the
Idaho Constitution states “The stability
24 of a republican form of government depending mainly upon the

intelligence of the people, it shall be the duty of the legislature of
26 to establish and maintain a general, uniform and thorough system of
27 public, free common schools.”

58 THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASLCSC SENATE:

Students of Lewis-Clark State

support House Bill 231.

63 Section 2: The members of the Associated
Students of Lewis-Clark State
64 College petition the duly elected Idaho
State Senators to vote against
65 House Bill 231.

upon a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the
68 ASLCSC Senate and the signature of the
ASLCSC President.
