Lewis-Clark State (59-12) also placed two players on the NAIA Pre-season All-America Team. Senior first baseman Trevor Brown (Eugene, OR) and senior pitcher Chris Mabeus (Soldotna, AK) were selected by the writers of Baseball America. Brown, an NAIA First-Team All-America last year, led the Warriors in batting .434, home runs 11, and RBI with 75. Mabeus, an honorable mention All-America pitcher in 2000, went 11-0 with a 3.05 earned run average. Newcomer Collin Perschon (Bellevue, WA), a transfer from Bellevue (WA) Community College, is listed as the #2 top prospect in the NAIA ranks. Perschon, a pitcher, was selected in 13th round by the New York Mets, last year, posted a 7-2 record and a 1.98 ERA at BCC. Mabeus is the #4 top prospect in the NAIA.

The Warriors are scheduled, tentatively, to open the season Saturday, February 10th, against Central Washington University, at Harris Field at 1:00 pm.
