Then two batters later, Brian Bowman (Pleasanton, CA/College of San Mateo), also in his first at-bat, took the first pitch from new Central Washington pitcher, Josh Roberts, over the center field wall for a three-run homer. The record tying shot came when designated hitter Mike Madrid (Silver City, NM/El Paso CC) hit a grand slam home run in part of an 11-run eighth inning.
The Warriors got an excellent outing from Arizona State University-transfer, Andy Torres (Bell Gardens, CA/ASU), who went six innings, giving up two hits, and struck out six batters.
