Gary Picone Coach Picone's long history with the program began in 1973 when he first donned the Warrior uniform as an outfielder for coach Ramon Hooker. After his playing career came to an end, he joined the Warriors’ coaching staff, in which he was a member of the first LCSC team to compete in an NAIA World Series (1976). He left the Warriors in 1980 to teach and coach in Canada before returning to LCSC in 1983 and acting as the Warriors’ pitching coach through 1989. He then returned to Canada to run the amateur program in British Columbia for two years before he was hired as LCSC’s Athletic Director in 1991. After nine years as LCSC’s Athletic Director his desire to return to coaching led him to Washington State University where he was the pitching coach from 2000-2002. Coach Picone returned to the Warrior dugout in 2002, as head pitching coach. In the fall of 2003, Picone was involved with the Canadian Olympic Team, serving as head coach during international play in Cuba.
