COLLEGE: Attended Porterville Community College and played baseball for two years under coach Bret Davis. While playing catcher there Buettner was elected captain of the team during the 2004 season.

HIGH SCHOOL: While playing for the Pasco High School Bulldogs and coach Don Houge, Buettner earned four varsity letters and was team captain during during both his junior and senior year.  

PERSONAL: Born September 6, 1983 in Spokane, WA, Jonathan Michael Buettner is the son of Penny Buetnner. He enjoys sports and lifting weights, and is a Kinesiology major.
