COLLEGE:
Played
two seasons at second base at the University of
Washington for coach Ken Knutson. He went 5-for-12
(.417) with one RBI at the plate his freshman year, and
then started 34 games as a sophomore. That season, he
hit .268 with two home runs, eight RBI, seven stolen
bases and 15 runs scored.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Earned three varsity baseball letters at Kamiakin High
and served as the team captain as a junior and senior.
He hit .430 as a junior and .420 as a senior, which
earned him first-team All-Big 9 honors at shortstop both
years. Was a second-team all-state selection both years
and played in the State All-Star Game. Also was a
standout receiver and defensive back on the football
team, earning three letters. He broke the school record
for receiving yards in a game (219) and single-season
receptions (65). Earned first-team all-league honors on
both offense and defense as a senior.
PERSONAL:
He was born on Aug. 27, 1986 in Richland, Wash., to Rick
and Bobbie Anderson. He lists his hobbies as
snowboarding, wakeboarding, ping pong, and poker. He is
majoring in Kinesiology.
