COLLEGE: Played in eight games and started two this past season at Santa Clara University. Finished 1-of-7 with a .143 batting average, with four runs scored and two hit by pitches. His hit was a pinch-hit RBI single against San Diego State University. He played at Long Beach State at a freshman.

HIGH SCHOOL: Chosen as a member of the NIKE Top 100 recruiting class following a stellar career at Los Altos High in California. He played quarterback for four seasons on the football team and was the shortstop on baseball, serving as the captain for the final two seasons. In his senior year, he threw 27 touchdown passes with one interception and led the baseball team to the league title with 14 home runs and 32 RBI.

PERSONAL: Born on March 9, 1986 to Dale and Audry Ecker in Bakersfield, Calif. Has one brother, Daryl, and one sister, Haley. He lists his favorite hobby as spending time with family and friends. He is majoring in Criminal Justice at LCSC.
