COLLEGE: Started his collegiate career at Northwestern State University and then transferred to Grayson County Community College in Dennison, Texas. He saw action in 30 games at Northwestern State and then hit .315 with 20 doubles, five triples and eight home runs at Grayson.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Graduated from Arlington Heights High in Dallas in 2004. He played two seasons on both the baseball team and football team. Played in the outfield and was a second-team all-district selection his junior year, and a first-team all-district, all-area and all-state pick as a senior. In football, he played both wide receiver and cornerback and was selected as a player to watch.

PERSONAL: Born on Sept. 14, 1986 to Jackie and Eric Epperson Sr. in Little Rock, Ark. He has one sister, Erika. His father and uncle were both track standouts in college. His hobbies include playing video games and watching TV. He is a Criminal Justice major.
