LCSC: Sat out last season after playing with the Warriors in 2004. He posted a 1.80 ERA in limited action last season. He also is playing on the LCSC golf team and will split time between the two sports this spring.

JUNIOR COLLEGE: Graduated from Lower Columbia Community College in 2004 where he was a pitcher for two seasons. He was a first-team all-league and all-tournament selection as a freshman. He helped his team to a second-place finish in the league tournament as a sophomore.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from North Thurston High School in 2002 where he posted an 11-0 record with a 0.99 ERA as a senior. He was chosen as the MVP in the state at the Class 3A level. He also was selected to the all-league and all-state team. His team went 24-0 his senior year and won the state championship.

PERSONAL: He was born on Aug. 29, 1983 in Los Angeles, Calif., to Rick and Carol McCaslin. He has three brothers, Mike, Ryan, and Matt. He is majoring in Kinesiology.
