LCSC: He saw limited action a year ago, after redshirting in 2005. He played in 16 games and started four. He collected seven RBI in only 23 plate appearances. Went 5-for-12 (.417) against left-handed pitching.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Aiea High School in Hawaii in 2004. He was an honorable mention all-league selection as a junior and was named to the all-league first team as a senior. He also was a second-team all-State selection as a season. Played final two years under coach Ryan Kato.

PERSONAL: Born Nov. 6, 1985 in Honolulu.  He is the son of Guy and Linda Tajiri. He is majoring in Criminal Justice.
