LCSC and OIT cancel
four-game series for
this weekend
Due to a scheduling
conflict, Lewis-Clark State
College’s four-game baseball
series with the Oregon
Institute of Technology
scheduled for Saturday and
Sunday at Klamath Falls has
been cancelled.
The Owls play Simpson
College in a four-game
series on Wednesday-Friday
this week before scheduled
doubleheaders with LCSC on
both Saturday and Sunday.
However, OIT has only nine
pitchers on its staff who
have seen action in more
than one game this season,
and this schedule would
leave them with eight games
in five days.
Games involving LCSC do not
count in the Region I
standings and the Owls stand
4-18 on the season.
The two teams will stay play
their four-game series in
Lewiston on May 2-4.
LCSC’s next action is
Tuesday in the start of a
three-game series with
Concordia. The two meet at 6
p.m. at Harris Field, and
then follow that up with a 1
p.m. doubleheader on
Wednesday.
