Lewis-Clark State College’s three-game baseball series with Corban College at Salem, Ore., which opens Friday, has been moved to Linfield College in McMinnville, Ore., because of poor field conditions at Corban’s baseball field. 

McMinnville, which is located approximately 20 miles northwest of Salem, has an artificial turf infield that can better withstand the wet weather. 

Corban’s field has standing water on it Thursday afternoon, and the weather forecast calls for thundershowers and possibly hail storms in the Salem area for this weekend. 

The two teams will play a 1 p.m. doubleheader on Friday and a single game at noon on Saturday.
