LCSC: Missed
all of last season so returns for senior year. In 2006, he played in
37 games and started 20, and hit .275 (22-of-80) with four doubles
and six RBI. He went 6-for-6 in stolen bases. As a sophomore, he
started 10 of the 34 games he played in and hit .354 with 19 RBI and
32 runs scored. Started out his LCSC career by playing in 54 games
as a freshman and hit .328 with 50 runs scored and 5-for-5 in stolen
bases.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Nicolas Benton played at Marysville Pilchuch High School and was
named first-team all-Wesco North. He was named All-State and
offensive MVP as a senior, and was invited to play in the Washington
State All-Star Game in 2003. He also played football and wrestled
while in high school.
PERSONAL:
Born Nov. 28, 1984 in Key West, Fla. to Ronald and Rose Benton…He is
a Kinesiology major at LCSC.
